Recommendation:

If you are interested in the Martin 118418, I would recommend doing thorough research on its history, condition, and maintenance requirements before making a purchase. It may also be helpful to consult with a saxophone expert or repair shop to ensure that the instrument is in good working order and to get an estimate of any necessary repairs or maintenance. Ultimately, the decision to purchase the Martin 118418 should be based on your personal preferences, playing level, and budget.

Details:

The bell engraving is sharp and clear.I think these are referred to as the 'Mars attacks. The lacquer appears to be original and still in very decent condition. It fits well, but you'd want to add a neck pouch for daily usage. Up for offer I have a very beautiful vintage Martin alto sax.

The case latches well and is functional. I will add some playing links or send upon request. I've been playing the horn with a vintage Link slant signature MP not included in offer, and its got bold clear voice that setup. The horn is in good playing condition.

Pads are very good, action has been adjusted, and it should be ready to go, depending of course on your setup preferences. Domestic US sales only. The neck fits snugly, the cork is good, and horn comes with an older Delmer flight case for alto. This model comes from Martins transitional period in the 1930's, before they settled on design of Committee III.
