The original finish is near perfect without any wear and very clean. All of the pads are original. This is a time capsule worthy of its own exhibit in museum. The neck is original as well and it in perfect condition with VIII stamped on the double sleeve tenon.

Everything about this horn is original and perfect, making it a true closet. It is a great Bebop era tone that very reminiscent of Charlie Parker in the mid-40s. The original pads are still playing well and give a very accurate account of the horns total characteristics. It includes, the original owners manual, neck strap, and several unused vintage reeds featuring an early synthetic reed made of Plasticine in its package.

The instrument features rolled tone holes. It is 99.9% original and physically perfect SN 285926, circa 1939. The intonation and balance are excellent the action is very good. This Alto has that rich and sweet sound can only be found in a vintage Conn.

There is absolutely no dense dings, or soldered joints. As you can see in the photos, even case is an excellent condition and has a purple velvet interior. Conn 6M VIII Naked Lady Alto saxophone that is in incredibly preserved condition.
